Don Smith (Administrator)
Don was originally hired as an overnight personal care aide in June of 1994. Don has worked as a personal care aide, home health aide, treatment technician, medication technician, LPN Supervisor for 12 years, Resident Care Director for 2 years and became the Administrator of Hilton East August of 2013. The resident’s of Hilton East have been an important part of Don’s life in his 20 years here and his continuing goal is to make Hilton East as safe, comfortable and an enjoyable place to live.
Sheila Turner (Case Manager)
Sheila has been with Hilton East since 2009. She has been in the health care field for over 12 years in the Human resources. In 2012, Sheila became our Assistant Administrator and has been our Case Manager since 2013. Her passion is caring for our residents. Sheila always has her door open for residents, family members and our staff.
Karen Cahill (Admissions Coordinator)
In 2004, Karen was hired as a front desk receptionist. Karen has worked in several positions at Hilton East. As the Front desk receptionist/supervisor, assistant medical secretary, Accounts receivable clerk in our Business office and finally putting her roots down as the Admissions Coordinator. Karen created our Veteran’s Club in March of 2014 and thoroughly enjoys the time she spends with the Veteran’s, residents and their families.
Michelle Aponte (Admissions Coordinator)
Michelle joined the Admissions team in January 2014, she strives to enrich the lives of our residents and try to give them a good quality of life while here at Hilton East.
Kayla Giorgione (Wellness Director)
Hired as a treatment technician in 2004, Kayla attended nursing school and graduated with her LPN degree in 2006. After working as a nurse and nurse supervisor for 7 years, Kayla was promoted to be our Wellness Director in 2013. Kayla is very dedicated to her position here at Hilton East, striving to ensure healthcare needs of each resident are met on a daily basis.
Jaime Niedzwiecki (Recreation Director)
Originally hired as a recreation aide in 2010, Jaime was approved by the state of NY in 2012 and named the Recreation Director of Hilton East. She ensures the health and wellness of our residents by adhering to a seven point guideline; stimulating and promoting physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social, occupational, and environmental aspects of living.
Rose McAvoy (Food Service Director)
At Hilton East our Food Service Director Rose McAvoy’s mission is about honoring preferences while creating great dining experiences, contributing to quality home-style food prepared in accordance with established food safety preparation practices and handling techniques.
Ed Harris (Maintenance Supervisor)
Ed has worked at Hilton East since August 1977. He first started out cleaning our kitchen at night time. A year later, Ed moved over to our maintenance department. In 1987 he became our Maintenance supervisor. Ed loves helping our resident’s with their daily maintenance needs.
